Sources close to Kanye West told Live Nation that West was reportedly close to a tour slated for 2018. This new tour would be a revamp to his 2016 Saint Pablo Tour, which was abruptly cancelled due to cited illness.

West cancelled the American leg of his tour and was hospitalized at the UCLA Medical Center for what was purported to be erratic behavior. The next month, he cancelled the international leg of his tour. Fans who had tickets were given full refunds, and his tour is now being revamped.

Live Nation hosted West’s last concert series, the Saint Pablo tour, in 2016. According to a source, the stage for the upcoming tour would be new compared to the floating stage that was on the Saint Pablo tour. The floating stage was revolutionary because it had never been seen before, so this concept is intriguing in that they’d innovate something entirely new yet again. The new tour would be no doubt exciting news to fans who have been waiting since May 2016 for news of a return.

According to TMZ, one source noted that “We’re ready to jump as soon as he gives the green light.” Sources also say that West is focused, engaged and no longer afflicted by the issues that sent him to the hospital last year. Earlier in May, West was in Wyoming to work on new music, so it’s possible tour goers will hear some fresh tunes – however, he has not given a release date. Only time will tell.
