The crew over at All Day I Dream seemingly have their tracks ready for months on end before releasing them. Teasing a lot of them in sets across the globe or in their studio mixes, their presentation is top notch and keeps their fans, new and old alike, wanting more. YokoO, having already released his debut single on last years’ Summer Compilation with Vali, he returns for his first EP titled Magnetic Souls on the dreamy label with the help of relative newcomer, friend and esteemed producer Retza. First up to bat is the aptly named “Magnetic Souls” which utilizes and combination of eclectic pads, haunting vocal snippets and a minimal drum kit to create an ambiance perfectly suited for those ADID Sunday rooftop parties. “Equuleus,” the other production created by the collaborating artists, encompasses many layers, with the many melodic pieces really sticking out and packing a punch courtesy of the stellar bassline found hiding in the background. To close the EP out, YokoO stands alone for the third tune. It prime fashion, “The Akashic Records” is shades darker than the previous two releases, allowing an encompassing theme riddled with rolling pads and short phrases that pop in an out periodically.
