cln – Mist
After a long hiatus, cln made a return in May with a somber yet inspiring offering in “Owls,” and he’s back again proving it for real this time with his second release of the year. “Mist” is a fitting follow up to his emotive debut for 2016, featuring simple but impactful instrumentation that drives along a slow burning melody, this release further asserts cln as a master of atmosphere and mood. “Mist” evokes feelings similar to that of Porter’s entire Worlds album if it were slowed down and asked to start from the beginning in a therapy session; a deep breath is taken and you’re given ample time to hear and digest all of what it has to offer.
Tagging along with this release was the announcement of his North American tour, kicking off Thursday August 18th in Brooklyn.
