Intoxicated Bonnaroo Attendee Died Crossing Highway After Festival

Bonnaroo

A 22-year-old male passed away early Saturday morning after leaving Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, an event that occurred this past weekend in Manchester, Tennessee.

Casey Young was a Louisville resident that was crossing Interstate 24 near the event grounds around 1:00am when he was hit by two cars. The Tennessee Highway Patrol found him wearing both a Bonnaroo t-shirt and wristband. He died on the scene and authorities have confirmed that alcohol and drugs were in his system at the time of the accident. This news doesn’t come in good time, as Bonnaroo saw it’s highest arrest numbers to date on Day 1.

The investigation is ongoing, although no criminal charges are expected to result from the event and neither of the drivers have been cited. We send our best wishes to the Young family.
