Mysteryland USA 2016 | Illich Mujica Exclusive Mix

With June just days away, it feels like we can unofficially proclaim that Mysteryland USA is just around the corner. Taking place in historic Bethel Woods, New York at the same site as the original Woodstock, the festival is ready to make 2016 its most successful edition to date thanks to a wicked lineup that features a long list of heavyweights such as Skrillex, Bassnectar, ODESZA, The Chainsmokers, Tchami and more. Along with a nice assortment of headliners, Mysteryland USA has also shown love for some of dance music’s emerging producers. One of those artists is Illich Mujica and if you’re not familiar with the name, we suggest you give his exclusive mix a listen.

Over the course of the hour, Illich Mujica treats listeners to some smooth and sexy house music. It’s also worth noting that he acknowledges the history of the festival grounds during his intro in the form of a Woodstock shoutout. If you’re looking to catch Illich Mujica at Mysteryland USA, he’ll be tearing up Spiegeltent on the Saturday alongside Lee Burridge, John Digweed and more. Last minute passes are still available right here.

“Given the history of the Woodstock Music festival which took place on the very same grounds where Mysteryland happens every year, I decided to use recordings from the era to introduce the DJ mix.
The mix is a description of my sound as a DJ: A gradient that touches upon funky grooves, melodies, darkness and ultimately a beautiful ending.
I hope you enjoy the journey.”
