The 2016 Remix Awards took place during Miami Music Week on March 17th-18th at the W Hotel South Beach. Award show winners are determined by North American airplay and quality of sound production in each category.  The judges consisted of a panel of resident DJs from the “Remix Top30 Countdown” radio mixshow.

Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton is the creator of the Remix Awards. He hopes to help people discover and celebrate the most talented remix producers from all over the world. His “Remix Top30 Countdown” radio show is the most listened to mixshow across North America and is syndicated to 118 radio stations in the United States.

The Remix Awards brought out some of the biggest electronic dance music producers and DJs in the business. The A-list artists in attendance included Armin van Buuren, Steve Angello, Kaskade, Afrojack, R3hab, Zedd, Steve Aoki and Thomas Gold.
