While countries like The Netherlands, Australia, and Sweden have long been considered meccas of dance music, Germany has been quietly making a push to be considered alongside the dance titans. Artists like M.A.N.D.Y. and Tensnake have pushed the Western European country’s underground scene and other acts like ATB, Paul van Dyk, Sam Feldt, and TOPIC have made Germany into a mainstream dance music factory as well. While the rest of the artists listed above are superstars in their own right, TOPIC is still an emerging artist with plenty to prove – and he’s winning over our hearts one track at a time.
The 23-year-old has a number of stunning originals to his name, like “Light It Up,” but his most recent effort is “Home” featuring Nico Santos, which has gotten an official music video as well. The track is a beautiful hybrid of house groove and soulful vocals designed to deliver a punch of emotion, and the music video manages to capture this perfectly.
