Illenium – Fortress feat. Joni Fatora (Seven Lions Roots Mix)
Seven Lions is definitely one of the most unique dubstep producers in the game. Rather than focusing simply on the drop, Seven Lions concentrates more on infusing beautiful melodies into his music. However, his newest remix diverges even further from the dubstep sound as he transcends into the wonderful world of trance. Illenium‘s “Fortress” feat. Joni Fatora received a roots mix from the Santa Barbara native, and needless to say it is amazingly captivating. Seven Lions stated that his goal for this remix was “to do kind of the opposite of what I usually do which is turn trance anthems into melodic dubstep tracks.” Inspired by the trance sounds of the mid 2000s, Seven Lions took the ambient original song and picked up the pace with a hard hitting trance remix that showcases his evolving talent, while also keeping true to his ideals.
