Major Lazer has had some killer features on their Beats One Radio show, “Lazer Sound”, as of late. Last episode, they invited one of my favorites, Dillon Francis, for the entirety of the show. He split the two hours up and brought on his own guest (his alter ego) DJ Hanzel. This week, Major Lazer returned to host the first hour or so, playing us some of the group’s latest tracks and more. Their set included a wide variety of genres ranging from recent hip hop releases, to reggae, to jungle house and so on.
The second hour was taken over by a producer that has probably had the quickest growth rate we have seen in a while, Jauz. Jauz took over the tables around 79 minutes into the mix and closed out strong. He came with a full arsenal of new and old music ready to show the world what he’s been up to. Jauz included tracks like his remix of Duke Dumont’s “Need U (100%)” with Marshmello, his remix of Major Lazer’s “Lean On” with Dillon Francis, “Rock The Party” with Ephwurd and his “Buggati” remix. The mix is fast paced and groovy just like Jauz’s tracks usually are. During the first break in the radio show Diplo and Jauz hinted that they are close to finishing a track they have been working on for over a year. We weren’t lucky enough to get a preview, but we will let you know when we have more information.
