Deadmau5 Closes Out The X-Games In Style

Festivals and electronic dance music shows are typically associated with warm weather and sunny skies – let’s face it, rave gear and getting wild in your favorite festival attire is often better suited for the warm summer days. Yet earlier last week at the X-Games, the high-flying, extreme sport event hosted in Aspen, Colorado, attendees were treated to quite the spectacle at the closing presentations of Saturday’s event.

Talented producer and famed internet troll Deadmau5 was slated to close out Saturday’s festivities with an intimate performance for attendees willing to brave the cold. Just hours before his set was expected to start, a massive snowstorm moved into the area, making for an impressive blizzard that forced onlookers to bundle up or seek shelter elsewhere. Instead of cancelling the show for the few hundred still in attendance, Deadmau5 braved the winter weather and went through his entire set, with people huddled together against the snowstorm. While the weather conditions weren’t ideal, it looks like those in attendance enjoyed the performance in such an intimate setting.

Check out video of the incredible conditions for the performance below, and shout out to Joel for being a good sport and keeping the event alive, giving audience members a great show instead of opting to cancel or reschedule for a later date.
