David Guetta Is Seeking One Million Fans For UEFA Anthem

David Guetta has been enlisted to produce the official song for UEFA EURO 2016, a football (soccer) tournament involving European nations. Since the competition will be held in France next summer, there’s no one better than the French producer to spearhead UEFA’s global music campaign and act as the tournament’s music ambassador. “This One’s For You,” the name of the official song, will bring one million fans together to collaborate with Guetta and become part of football history.

“I’m so excited to be working with UEFA on this project in my home country – a football tournament which unites all of Europe. UEFA EURO 2016 is all about the fans and I want to put them at the heart of everything, especially the song. Music, like sport brings people together, so I’m trying something very SPECIAL and asking people around the world to unite and add their voices to this anthem.”

Fans will need to visit the song’s official website and follow instructions on how to record their part of the song. According to the rules, “All supporters who record with Guetta will receive a unique piece of personalized artwork and be entered into a draw to win tickets for the opening game and the opportunity to meet Guetta himself. The winner will also be a VIP guest at his free concert on the eve of the tournament at the Champ de Mars, under the Eiffel Tower.”

“This One’s For You” is slated for a Spring 2016 release, and will be performed by Guetta during the opening and closing ceremonies at the Stade de France, as well as be integrated throughout each match broadcast.
