[Watch] Very First Breath: A Film About Hudson Mohawke

Hudson Mohawke

Scotland’s own Ross Birchard, better known by the stage name, Hudson Mohawke, is no stranger to success. At the tender age of 15, he was the youngest ever UK DJ to earn the title of DMC (Disco Mix Club) finalist. Following early acclaim for his turntable work, HudMo went on to cultivate parties with Rustie and the LuckyMe crew, ensued by the release of his first studio album, Butter through British label, Warp Records. His genre-smashing and style-manipulating approach to electronic music production has garnered him mass attention and earned him the privilege of linking up with Canadian producer Lunice to form the world renowned, trap super duo, TNGHT, and  produce for some of the biggest names in hip hop, like Drake and Kanye West.

Thanks to the folks at Noisey, fans of the infinitely talented Hudson Mohawke have been gifted the rare opportunity to catch an intimate glimpse at the man behind the huge beats with their brand new, full length documentary, Very First Breath: A Film About Hudson MohawkeVery First Breath follows HudMo back to his family home in Glasgow, Scotland where the producer’s lifelong friends and family members recount the steps that led to the artist’s now massively success and long-lasting musical career.
