After a few years of split projects, with Christian Karlsson producing music as the other half of Galantis, Pontus Winnberg forming new band, Amason, and continuing writing for other artists as Bloodshy & Avant (with Karlsson), and Andrew Wyatt focusing on his solo career, Miike Snow is once again set to return.  ‘Heart Is Full‘ is the debut single for the newly announced album. Their first track in three years has the electronic pop trio picking up their cheerful charisma exactly from where they left it, and seeing a bold bending of their sweet lyrics and composition with soulful vocals and jazzy instrumentation. While the peppiness is still there, it’s a bigger track than we ever heard from Miike Snow. The Swedish execution has melody first, catching the listener immediately with big horns interweaving with Wyatt’s dominant vocals. They have obviously came back together with a fresh taste in direction after fulfilling separate, and not to mention, very different projects individually. It’s something that may be jarring to fans at first, but it’s hard to stay mad when the track happily lifts you up like the way it does.
‘Heart Is Full‘ is the lead single from fittingly titled album III, which is due sometime in 2016. The music video for the first single directed by Lance Drake is set to premiere next week.
