Le Youth is the perfect example of the statement, “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it,” because this man found his craft, found his style, and delivers incredibly quality tracks again and again, and now again. Though sticking to a similar sound profile, Le Youth’s tracks somehow always manage to sound simultaneously really fresh as well, as with his newest remix of Digital Farm Animal’s lithe and sweet track “True.” Giving the original a Le Youth makeover with dominant, melodic bass lines and his usual magic with vocal splices, he gives the song a darker, richer texture – kind of like milk versus dark chocolate. It was also smart how he chose a song with a prominent piano melody to show off his personal dexterity with the instrument, as I bet listeners were craving the likes of his addictive, piano-heavy original “Touch” – I know I was.
