This weekend past, Chicago hosted their annual Spring Awakening Music Festival at Soldier Field. The festival accommodated attendees and artists such as Jack Ü, Eric Prydz, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Zomboy, Seven Lions and many more. A weekend of partying at a three day festival certainly takes its toll on guests. For one Spring Awakening festival attendee however, the weekend ended in tragedy.

Nineteen year old, Steve Vongkoth, is the first fatality to be reported from this years Spring Awakening Music Festival. Vongkoth was found unresponsive in the 1400 block of North Museum Campus Drive, not far from Soldier Field, at 11:05 p.m. Saturday night. Steve Vongkoth was taken to Mercy Hospital where he was later pronounced dead at 9:52 a.m. Sunday morning. Police believe the cause of death to be a suspected drug overdose. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Vongkoth Monday.
