The Bloody Beetroots Release SBCR & Friends Vol 1

Bloody Beetroots

Nearly 18 months to the day after releasing the highly anticipated studio album Hide, The Bloody Beetroots‘ Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo has published an extended collaboration EP titled SBCR & Friends Vol 1. The compilation has 6 brand new tracks produced by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo (SBCR) and featuring Razihel, Moon Bounce, Elisa Bee, and His Majesty Andre:

“Legendary Dim Mak mainstay Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots unleashes his newest musical iteration – SBCR. While The Bloody Beetroots remain an eclectic, rock-influenced live electronic band, SBCR is Bob’s strictly DJ-performance moniker under which he releases similarly dancefloor-driven productions. SBCR unveils his inaugural EP SBCR & Friends, Vol. 1 featuring collaborations with hand-picked up-and-comers… The six-track EP is a sampling of SBCR’s signature electro-house, dance-punk flavor, peppered by twists of futuristic synths, cinematic builds and piano melodies.”

-Dim Mak

After releasing Hide on Ultra Records in 2013, SBCR is back on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak – which is where his debut album Romborama came in 2009. The punk influence is still very obvious, but SBCR brings out much heavier glitch sounds than we’ve heard from him recently. Read more to stream the entire album.
