Tegan and Sara – So Jealous (Royal Refix)
Just in time for the tenth anniversary of Tegan and Sara‘s famed fourth studio album, D.C. based producer and DJ, Royal, has whipped up a ridiculously wavy official refix for the smash hit single ‘So Jealous.’ With the Canadian indie pop/rock duo slated to re-issue the LP in an exclusive three disc collection entitled ‘So Jealous X’ that includes tons of bonus tracks, a hardcover book, and a live performance on DVD, Tegan and Sara have sweetened the pot with an advance release of Royal’s rendition of  the record. Working parallel to the warpy feel of the original track, Royal injects a hefty dose of echoey melodic synths that turn the listener’s brain to mush within seconds. The melodic progressions mesmerize without fail, and the Flume-esque style will surely have you craving more. Speaking of more. . . you should definitely check out some of Royal’s other brainchildren like his epic refix of ‘Crave You‘ or his swerve original ‘Complete Control‘. Boasting such a wide spectrum of sound Royal should have little trouble appealing to the masses, so keep your eyes and ears peeled as he continues to make large strides towards the top.
