Galantis – Runaway (U & I) (Dillon Francis Remix
Early last month, we told you about this poorly recorded video of Dillon Francis’ new remix of ‘Runaway (U & I) at HARD Day of the Dead. If you have been lucky enough to see Dillon on his ‘Friends Rule Tour,’ you have most likely had the pleasure of hearing the tune live. Dillon released a high quality live recording on his own Soundcloud a couple weeks ago, but Galantis has now one-upped him, posting a properly recorded studio version to their Soundcloud.
Dillon seamlessly combines the beautiful lyrics of the original with his signature moombahton and some trap influences. Unlike Kaskade’s underwhelming remix, Francis hits the mark, putting out a genre blending tune that sounds perfect when played live. There is no word yet on an official release date for the track, but this Soundcloud version should keep satisfy plenty of Galantis and Dillon listeners until the date is announced.
