Besides the fact that he’s only 16 years old, there are plenty of reasons to keep your eyes on up-and-coming French producer Matt Fax, and his new double-sided EP, Orion is one of them. The title track has some piano layers that add depth to the enchanting 8-minute number, and on the other side, “Hidden Feelings” makes its way through many progressions thanks to a rolling, wavy bass line.
Matt Fax had his own guest mix spot on the Anjunabeats Worldwide show last week, and is also the youngest producer ever to create a guest mix for Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy show (Episode 038). Though previewed last month, the EP is now officially available on Beatport via Arrival Recordings, a division of progressive house label Silk Music. It’s already received positive feedback from Dash Berlin, Jaytech, tyDi and more.
