Avicii had one of the biggest hits of the summer with his track “Wake Me Up”, and now it has received the remix treatment from the man himself, in light of his upcoming album release. The “Wake Me Up (Reggae Remix)” has a laid-back feel to it, featuring familiar reggae vibes and a down tempo island sound. The combination actually works surprisingly well, and at the very least, it’s an interesting conceptualization of the original. The “Wake Me Up (Avicii Speed Remix)” is more up tempo, all thanks to Avicii overlaying the original onto his “Speed” mix. It gives the track a more classic house-music feel, and the intermix with “Speed” provides for a more classic Avicii production.
