EP Review: Fractal – Avare

Fractal – Avare EP
Genre: Electronic | Label: Adopted Records | Release Date: 8/5/2013
Fractal is blowing up in the scene right now. With his several recent collaborations with Au5 and a couple appearances on BT’s upcoming album, theres no doubt that the latter half of 2013 is going to be his breakout point. In the midst of all this, the 20-year-old has just released his 2nd EP: Avare. The 2 track set starts with a beautifully atmospheric glitch hop tune filled with bouncy melodies, trippy tweaks and sounds, and a bass growl that could bring down a house. The ambiance continues into a glitchy, yet euphoric drumstep rager. The synth lead over the epic almost progressive house sounding chords gives off a triumphant feeling giving you the energy to climb a mountain. After all the emotions portrayed in a 2 song EP, its no wonder everyone in the game is trying to work with the young basshead.
