Alright guys. If any of you tuned into the live stream of Gareth Emery‘s massive party from Governor’s Island in New York City this past weekend (or, if you were lucky enough to experience it live like me…sheer insanity, by the way) you may have noticed that ridiculously sick mash-up of Ilan Bluestone‘s remix of BT‘s “Skylarking” mixed up with One Republic‘s “If I Lose Myself“. I absolutely lost my mind when Gaz dropped this bomb – and all I could think about was locating it. Now, I preface this release by saying that I am not 100% sure that this is the exact mix Gareth dropped, as there is no tracklist for the show available yet. I just did a quick SoundCloud search and came upon this track released by German producer Novum recently, and figured “what a coincidence”. The coupling of One Republic’s vocals intertwined with the atmospheric beauty that is Bluestone’s remix of “Skylarking” is one made in the heavens…as the weave of the two tracks is seamless and extremely mood elevating.
