Avicii has been teasing his dedicated fans for a short while now with his beloved previews of ‘Without You‘ and ‘Lonely Together‘ through his official Instagram account – creating an undeniable sense of intrigue and anticipations for his full EP release date. His supporters need not fret any longer as Tim and his team have just announced that his complete and fresh EP with be released on August 10th, 2017 – Thursdays have never looked so good!

This morning the Swedish producer surprised his followers by uploading new cover art to all of his social media channels which pinpoints the specific release date of his highly anticipated full EP entitled Avīci. Fans were quick to assume that the title referred directly to the artist himself – however, in Buddhism the term describes the lowest level of hell, or purgatory in the Roman Catholic doctrine.

As supporters have witnessed throughout the years, the creative musician has survived through some very high and truly low points of his life and has once again “risen” up – perhaps this is why he has compared himself to a realm beneath us as he has survived through extremely difficult times. The unfortunate circumstances in the past have resulted in the DJ to cease his touring altogether as he was limited by his physical abilities.

Today, committed fans from around the globe are delighted to be informed about the official release date and that more music will be launched in the future: ‘Friend of Mine‘, ‘What Would I Change to it‘ as well as ‘You Be Love‘.

“On August 10th at 4 pm CET, my new EP “Avīci” will be released globally. I can’t wait to share it with you.”Still to come are “Friend Of Mine,” “What Would I Change It To,” and “You Be Love.”

Although the specific release dates for Avicii’s new tracks aren’t certain, there is one thing that is: many are beyond excited for them to grace us as the legendary producer has earned the title as one of the most respected names in electronic dance music history.
