The Chainsmokers Just Dropped Another Song From Their Album

With less than two weeks left until the release of their new album, The Chainsmokers have decided to surprise us by dropping the first track on their upcoming album. The song is called “The One” and once again features vocals from one half of The Chainsmokers duo, Drew Taggart. Differing from their previous releases, “The One” consists of a slower-paced vibe opposed to their other recent hits such as “Paris” or “Something Just Like This” which are infused with energy and faster-paced beats. The duo have stated countless times in the past that their music is inspired by real events from their lives. Taggart opened up about their major hit track “Closer“, stating that it was about an ex-girlfriend of his. “The One” seems to follow in a similar setting as the lyrics tell a story of realizing the depressing truth of a relationship on the rocks.

The Chainsmokers’ upcoming album, “Memories… Do Not Open” releases on April 7th and their album tour is set to kick off April 13th. Every ticket purchased for their tour is guaranteed a copy of their new album. You can get tickets to their upcoming tour here. You can check out the full song below.
