Mija – Secrets
Usually when you hear the names Tegan & Sara, you don’t necessarily think about bass. But throw Mija in the mix and you can always expect a heavy hitter. “Secrets” is her first official solo release, and first on her “happy hardcore” net-label Never B Alone.
With the indie-pop sisters vocals helping build up to a drum and bass influenced first drop, and then progressing into a second dubstep drop that is reminiscent of the original sounds of the style. Mija, master of the ‘fk a genre‘ mindset, showcases exactly that with this track. Â Not being bound by stereotypical classifications, “Secrets” is the type of track that only few can successfully pull off producing.
