Veteran DJ / producer Mord Fustang officially joined mau5trap today with his debut release on the label. Murmurs is a wonderfully eclectic illustration of Mord’s vision behind the future of dance music. Each track is a reflection of key points in his career, offering listeners an audible journey throughout the years.
“Murmurs” is a hard-hitting introduction, balancing frenetic synth stabs and a pounding bassline. “Falling Up” revisits classic Mord Fustang, with arpeggiated chords, chopped samples, and driven synths building around a high-energy breakdown. The final track “Flip the Bacon” is a lesser-known minimal side to Mord’s sound- percussive loops punctuated by scratches and bass wobbles.
