Lane 8 & Kasablanca – Run

‘Run’ kicks off with ardent, warm synth plucks which merge gracefully with the arpeggio to come. From that point on, the vocal passages create a hypnotic movement driving into the riser. Taking off, it formulates a bright and infectious chorus which sounds like one of Lane 8’s best melodies to date. Beyond, this marks Kasablanca’s first appearance on This Never Happened. If this is any sort of indicator, we should certainly be looking forward to any more tracks by the producer.

The Bloody Beetroots has been hard at work all year long. Coming off of the fresh collab ‘FKIN FACE‘ with Dr. Fresch and then the banger, ‘Run‘ with Shockone, the masked musician is back with one more release. This time he has joined up with the enthralling Zhu on, ‘Zoning‘.

This is the first time that both producers have made a song together and wow does this one put you into a blissful zone of music. Zhu’s lush, falsetto vocals are really something else – engulfing listeners into a dreamy state. The synergy between both of their styles is impeccable. Mixing in Bloody Beetroot’s pulsing, electro guitar riffs and we have a mystical concoction of sound. Warping through the darkened soundscape, their musical influences mesh seamlessly in this psychedelic heavy rollercoaster.

ShockOne – Run (feat. The Bloody Beetroots)

Australian producer ShockOne is turning up the heat this summer in his latest track. He’s teamed up with The Bloody Beetroots in a high energy banger, ‘Run’. The track also makes its debut on Monstercat so you know this one will be good.

Starting off with alarming sirens, listeners can already tell what type of track ‘Run’ is leading into. A galloping bass build creates immense tension going to the drop. From there, a throbbing bass melody will make any electro house fan excited. During the breakdown, screeching vocals gives the track some extra flavor going into the final drop.

An adrenaline inducing track, ‘Run’ will be a part of ShockOne’s upcoming A Dark Machine album. It comes after his 2013 debut Universus album which hit #1 in Australia on release date. After hearing ‘Run’, it will be exciting to see what else he has in store.

TV Noise x Drew Love – Run (Official Lyric Video)

We’ve been listening to Dutch duo TV Noise for quite some time now after they recently caught fire thanks to Spinnin’ Records. TV Noise are certainly not rookies in the music scene. They got their first major push back in 2013 with the Martin Garrix collab titled ‘Just Some Loops‘. Following this, the guys delivered a series of festival weapons but decided to change their sound radically in 2016. This lead to a couple of widely played pop records such as ‘Bring Me Down‘, ‘Think‘, and ‘Remember‘. Recently, the duo returned to the dance floor with the exciting four-track ‘Cell Phone EP‘ and early 2018 single ‘Milkshake‘.

Now they bring us another fire new single called ‘Run’. TV Noise chose to Team up with Drew Love of LA-based, R&B duo THEY. The song breathes a sultry soul vibe, adding strong synth chords and electronic wizardry. For sure, it’s an exciting step in the duo’s ever expanding resumé- moving from straight up dance music to catchy pop tunes.

Taking to Instagram and Twitter, Alison Wonderland, born Alex Scholler, posted the cover art for her sophomore album. It seems like we’ll be getting up close and personal with her. Whereas the cover art for Run was prominently just the background of a race track with a small figure of Scholler in the bottom right corner, Awake features a stark white background and Scholler up front and center, purple hair and all.

The cover art for Awake is a perfect metaphor for where Scholler is currently at in her career. She has continued to impress and now is front and center within the industry. With all eyes on her, expectations are high for Alison Wonderland to deliver an album just as impressive as the first.

Last year was huge for the Australian star. She was named ‘Best New Artist’ in the inaugural Electronic Music Awards, as well as placing 89th in the annual DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs. If you see her live you’ll understand why. Her performances are not only technically brilliant but also full of infectious passion and energy. It’s no wonder why she has so much buzz going into this year.

So far, Scholler has only released one single from Awake, the bass-laden ‘Happy Place.’ With no word on a release date yet, we are excited to hear what else is in store!

Coming off their recent visit to Barcelona, Spain to play at club Razzmataz, Krewella continues to dominate after a very successful release of ‘Somewhere To Run’ earlier in the year. Returning to the spotlight, they showcase a wild new music video full of partying, live drum elements and some light tomfoolery to amp up the already massive original. This one provides perhaps a peek into Krewella‘s touring life and seems to accurately portray their thoughts and feelings as they re-position themselves with their new style of music after much criticism. To add even more fuel to the fire, they recently released a fresh remix bundle of ‘Somewhere To Run’ by the Lost Kings including a highly dance able piano-driven and nu disco rendition of the hit single.

With this video and official remixes marking an optimistic departure from their past, they are certainly geared up for a great rest of the summer as they are set to perform again in Las Vegas, NV at the exalted Omnia night club on 8/28, 9/18 and 10/16. If you plan to see them this summer, take note that their 8/28 performance will be considered Jahan’s birthday celebration and you can definitely expect it to be a wild one.

Eric Prydz – Pryda Vol I

Eric Prydz probably has the most extensive back catalog of tracks of any artist out there. If you see him perform live, you’d probably only hear 1-2 tracks with names and releases. These eccentricities are what fans love about Eric, because he is laser-focused on creating great music and not worried about marketing or gimmicks.

Not too long ago, he let the world know he would finally be digging into his crate and releasing much of his back catalog in the form of 3 Pryda EPs. Today saw the release of Pryda Vol I and already things are off to a great start.

For starters, Eric released the amazing techno monsters known on the internet as ‘Shrine ID’ and ‘Firestone ID’, which are now known as ‘Rebel XX’ and ‘Run’ respectively. If you’ve seen Eric live recently at a festival you have probably heard both of these. To cap it off, he added ‘Loving You’ and ‘Neuron’ which were both officially named for the first time during his Beats One Mix over the weekend.

The heavily anticipated ‘Opus’ wasn’t in the mix just yet, but it can’t be too far off. Don’t forget there will be 2 more EP releases this summer and then an album in October. It’s safe to say Pryda will be ruling the summer.
