This alarming situation is likely caused by cocaine entering the ocean through untreated sewage or being dumped during drug smuggling operations. Scientists are concerned that the cocaine consumption could alter the sharks’ behavior and harm other marine life in the Santos Bay Area.

“We don’t usually see many bales of coke dumped or lost at sea here, unlike in Mexico and Florida.”

This isn’t an isolated incident; similar findings have been reported in other locations around the world. For instance, last year, scientists in Florida discovered fish and sharks in Florida waters have been affected by drug-related paraphelnia dumped into the ocean by drug traffickers. Similarly, in the UK, freshwater shrimp and other river wildlife are testing positive for cocaine and ketamine. In addition, a 2018 study discovered that eels in British waters have been exposed to cocaine. Researchers believe the drug is causing these creatures to become ‘hyperactive.’

While movies like Cocaine Bear and Cocaine Shark provide a source of entertainment, it’s important to note this is a real issue affecting our wildlife, both on land and at sea.

The ‘Ocean’ producer expressed that the newest track is the first track of his upcoming ep of the same name. The captivating element of this track is how much it resembles of the Tron Movies soundtracks. Realistically, Daft Punk would be extremely proud. Furthermore, the song posseses masterful vocals that boost the melodies. You will feel unstoppable while you’re riding down the freeway to the function. The inspiration of ‘this track ‘Can’t Stop’ came out of a drive after dinner with long time friend Gerd Janson. As a result, we received this phenomenal track that will make all the dancefloors succumb to it.

Martin Garrix feat. Khalid – Ocean

Khalid‘s takeover of the music world has only intensified from his multiple collaborations that experiment with artists across multiple genres. His tracks with EDM giants like Calvin Harris and Marshmello have helped propel him into the electronic music sphere. This even earned him a spot on EDC’s 2018 lineup. Unfortunately for us that performance didn’t pan out, but Khalid is still a remarkable artist whose talents mesh effortlessly into electronic music. And Martin Garrix seems to thinks so too.

His newest release “Ocean” features the soulful singer serenading us with moving lyrics and a slow-driven beat. Martin has recently been churning out more pop-infused love ballads that feature popular vocalists singing about love and heartbreak.

The production provides a mellow backdrop for Khalid’s buttery vocals to take front and center while the rest of the song melts into oblivion. This track, as poppy as it may sound, is undeniably beautiful. But quite frankly, if we listened to this track blindly we would have probably guessed it’s just another Khalid song.

Martin’s production is most definitely downplayed in this, but that might just be the point of it all. At the end of the day, it’s a beautiful thing to see artists work to evolve and grow their sound. Especially when a beautiful track evolves from it.

Seven Lions & Jason Ross – Ocean & The Sirens

Ocean is the second release on the Ophelia label launched last month by melodic dubstep and house producer Seven Lions. The double single is a collaboration with trance/house producer Jason Ross. It features a vocal track with singer/songwriter Jonathon Mendelsohn, who is no stranger to dance music, having previous collaborations with Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand and Dash Berlin.

‘Oceans’ is distinctly Seven Lions with the melodic bass, blending the Jason Ross’s stylings for an incredible drop and beat. The vocals provided by Jonathan Mendelsohn are a perfect match for the track. The beautiful melody and energy betray the sad lyrics “So now I hide my heart, it’s buried somewhere deep at the bottom of the ocean, because I’ve been torn apart, by what I thought was love and it left me broken”. The track was played as an ID in September, and has been requested ever since. Mendelsohn appeared on r/SevenLions a month ago to confirm the lyrics, building anticipation for this epic release.

‘Sirens’ has a completely different feel, with an intimidating trap horn at the beginning, leading into a mind-bending trance beat. The instrumental track features a lot of Jason Ross’ influence, and displays the eclectic range of Seven Lions’ abilities.

Galimatias, a fairly new up-and-coming electronic music composer, has just released a lovely track through his Soundcloud titled Ocean Floor Kisses. The name of the new tune is actually quite fitting; the Denmark producer fills the song with chords and textures that transports listeners sonically to an electric beach. “Ocean Floor Kisses” begins as if the listener is deep within the ocean, with these subdued piano keys that are floating and played sporadically throughout the track, as synths build and swell around. A drum pattern appears and gently takes the listener into a slight groove that is sure to get people vibing. The track also features some great vocal work near the backend of the track, all chopped up by Alina Baraz, a close collaborator of Galimatias. All in all, “Ocean Floor Kisses” gently caresses the listener and takes them on a mellow journey.
