“For the past two years, I’ve been quietly writing my fourth album, and today I finally get to tell you about it. It’s called Home, and it’s coming out November 3rd on Marshan Records!”

‘Too High’ is a track that makes you feel good with catchy vocals and melodic synths the tracks energy sets the tone for the new album.

“Some tracks are written in the studio. This one started 40,000ft in the air. I was flying home after a stretch of touring in Europe, exhausted and ready to switch off, when I sat down on the long-haul flight with a melody stuck in my head. It was nothing more than an idea. I almost ignored it. But it wouldn’t go away. So I pulled out my Mac, opened Logic and thought I’d quickly get it down before going back to resting. I ended up working until my laptop died.

What came out initially wasn’t even a dance track. It was an ambient piece that centred around the Moog synth that slowly evolves and opens through the track. It didn’t need drums. It didn’t need bass. I just kept following where the music wanted to go. And somewhere around 40,000ft, with the vocal repeating “Too High,” the name “Aloft” suddenly felt perfect. The full record is nearly 9 minutes, and to me, it’s meant to be heard that way: the ambient world of Aloft slowly giving way to the club record of Too High.

Then comes the breakdown.

It’s genuinely one of my favourite breakdowns I’ve ever written. I don’t think I’ve ever created a moment that brings quite that level of euphoria to the room. And when that final melody and drop arrive, it’s become one of my favourite moments of my sets. “All this because I couldn’t get one little melody out of my head on a flight home.”

For years, my friends and I have discussed where Tom stood in his career. Having spent over a decade refining his craft, he was already at a point where stepping up as a curator and creative director for new talent felt like the natural next step. Moreover, launching his own imprint affords him absolute creative freedom.

Every established label operates within specific pillars and boundaries; creating your own house is the ultimate way to manifest a complete vision without compromise. And as Marsh has proven across a ten-year trajectory, total creative freedom for him wouldn’t mean a drop in quality, things traditional labels “ensure” when you sign under them. Our boy Tom needs no such confirmation anymore.

His story is deeply interwoven with Progressive House. From his early days as a core veteran on Silk Music (later Monstercat Silk) where he released his debut album, to his defining era on Anjunadeep, his output has been nothing short of extraordinary. On Anjuna, for example, he blessed us with EPs, singles, two studio albums, and one of the most influential tracks in the label’s history: ‘Come Together’ with Nox Vahn—a defining anthem voted by fans as one of the standout tracks in the imprint’s entire quarter-century legacy.

‘Home’

With ‘Home’, Marsh opens another door to express his complete identity. What makes this track so captivating is how it deliberately steps back from the high-energy, peak-time, groovy sound that has dominated recent dancefloors. In an era where producers are constantly chasing the heaviest beat or the loudest crowd reaction, often sacrificing melody for raw energy, ‘Home’ aims for the complete opposite.

It brings back that classic, hypnotic, and deeply emotive version of Marsh that so many of us fell in love with. Built around a relaxed groove, laid-back percussion, lush wavetable synths, and that haunting, looped vocal mantra he’s known for (formants and all!), the track gives you space to sit back, pause, and just reflect. It’s light, inviting, and entirely unhurried.

Listening to ‘Home’ immediately transported me back to when I first discovered Tom’s music in 2022 through my best friend from Argentina, Rama, right before travelling to Buenos Aires to see him. Hearing this new record revived every single one of those memories and feelings I’ve got vividly attached in my head to BA and Tom in equal parts.

While fans speculate what this could mean, his recent live sets have seen him drop some Drum & Bass and he has released progressive tracks like ‘Attraction’ with Ferry Corsten. Fans won’t have to wait long to hear the label’s first offering. Marsh confirmed that the imprint’s debut single, ‘Home’ is officially scheduled to drop on July 21st. From June 11–16, thousands of Anjunadeep fans gathered in Dhërmi, Albania, for six unforgettable days of melodic house, breathtaking scenery, and sunrise moments that felt almost surreal. Set along the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea, Explorations continues to prove that smaller festivals can create some of the biggest memories.

Unlike traditional festivals, there is no rush between stages or battle for the perfect viewing spot. Life slows down here. Mornings begin with a swim in the sea, afternoons blend into sunset sessions, and nights stretch well beyond sunrise.

The Cove: My Favorite Stage

The first stage you encounter is The Cove, and it quickly became my favorite of the entire festival.

Nestled inside a small harbor, the stage sits beside a beautiful pebble beach. During the day, festivalgoers relaxed in the sun, swam out to the famous Anjunadeep sign, or danced just a few feet from the DJ booth. The atmosphere felt intimate and incredibly welcoming.

As the sun disappeared, The Cove transformed. The cocktail bar overlooking the stage filled with people, while others danced barefoot across the beach below.

Some of my favorite sets of the week happened here.

Maty Owl delivered an emotional performance filled with organic rhythms and beautiful melodies that perfectly matched the surroundings. PROFF followed with an equally captivating journey through progressive house, while Marsh surprised everyone with a unique drum and bass set that became one of the festival’s biggest talking points.

Panorama: Pizza, Sunsets, and Deep Grooves

Further along the coastline sat Panorama, a stage many of us jokingly called the “Pizza Party.”

Fresh wood-fired pizza was served by the slice all day and well into the night. Combined with uninterrupted views across the Ionian Sea, it became one of the easiest places to spend hours without realizing it.

The stage consistently delivered an upbeat atmosphere. Whether people were dancing or simply watching the sunset, Panorama always felt alive.

Splendor: Where the Biggest Moments Happened

Splendor served as the festival’s largest stage.

Located beside a beautiful five-star resort, the venue overlooked the sea, with waves crashing against the shoreline just steps from the dancefloor. At times, the water even splashed onto the wooden deck, creating one of the most unique festival settings I’ve experienced.

Several standout performances happened here.

Luttrell brought his signature melodic house sound with an energetic yet emotional set that perfectly matched the coastal setting. Later in the weekend, Marsh’s sunrise performance became one of the defining moments of Explorations. Watching the sun slowly rise over the Albanian Riviera while melodic house echoed across the coastline was something I’ll never forget.

The Pavilion: Music by the Water

Located beside another beautiful beachfront resort, The Pavilion offered a completely different pace.

Comfortable sun loungers lined the shoreline, allowing people to relax while still enjoying the music. Others gathered on the raised platform overlooking the sea as DJs played throughout the day.

My favorite performances came from HANA, whose ethereal vocals floated beautifully across the venue, and Braxton, whose atmospheric progressive sound felt perfectly at home beside the water. 16BL also delivered one of the weekend’s strongest deep house sets, reminding everyone why he remains one of Anjunadeep’s defining artists.

The Tent: An Unexpected Highlight

Then there was The Tent.

It looked exactly as its name suggests, but the experience inside was anything but ordinary.

The circular stage featured a full 360-degree sound system, surrounding the crowd from every direction. My favorite moment came during Because of Art’s disco set, which completely transformed the space into one huge dancefloor.

More Than Just the Music

Part of what makes Anjunadeep Explorations so special is everything that happens between the sets.

Festivalgoers could book yoga sessions, guided meditation, sound baths, poolside parties, and intimate dining experiences throughout the week. The famous Gjipe Beach parties, accessible only by boat, remained one of the festival’s most sought-after experiences and perfectly captured the adventurous spirit of Explorations.

Every part of the festival encouraged people to slow down, disconnect, and fully enjoy their surroundings.

Final Thoughts

Anjunadeep Explorations isn’t built around massive production or headline moments.

Instead, it succeeds by creating an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in electronic music.

The beaches, the mountains, the music, and the people all come together naturally. Nothing feels forced, and nothing feels rushed.

After six days on the Albanian Riviera, it became clear why so many people return year after year.

Anjunadeep Explorations isn’t simply another destination festival.

It’s a place where music and nature exist in perfect harmony.

The label contingent also features Patrice Bäumel, Durante, Maty Owl, and Ezequiel Arias, to further amplify the Deep experience all throughout the two weekends that Anjunadeep will spend in South America. It was the morning after a show in Ibiza

I was sitting in the sun, recharging before flying out for my next gig that night, in Dubai. For some reason, the “Sun In Your Eyes” melody was looping in my head, but this time it was weaving itself around a new bassline groove I was hearing

I had a long layover on the way to Dubai, so I opened my laptop and chased the idea. Everything poured out effortlessly. I found the right drums almost instantly, and by the time the plane touched down, I had a full remix on my hands. I spent the hours before the show mixing it in my hotel room and then debuted it that night. This was August 2023. By September, I had a refined version that I played in my sets for the next two years, never knowing if it would ever see the light of day. Fast forward to October 30th, 2025… and I finally get to share it with you

Following his recent performances, Marsh continues an ambitious international schedule with a run of shows across North and South America before heading to Europe in 2026. Meanwhile, Above & Beyond are preparing for the Bigger Than All Of Us UK & European Tour.
