Tomorrowland has officially joined forces with global crypto platform KuCoin in a major three-year strategic deal (2026–2028) that names the platform the festival’s Official Exclusive Crypto Exchange and Crypto Payments Partner. Kucoin delivered on creating an immersive experience as the “Kucoin Guardians” kept the energy high, by electrifying crowds across both weekends.

The Celestia Stage

During Weekend 2 of Tomorrowland Belgium, KuCoin celebrated its 9th anniversary at the Celestia Stage, hosting a curated lineup of world-class electronic acts from the likes of Mark Knight, Mr. Belt & Wezol, Belters Only, Bingo Players with Iceman, Dada Life, Sander van Doorn and Dannic b2b Dyro.

We asked the managing director of Kucoin, Sabina Liu, to explain about the Celestia stage and Kucoin’s partnership with Tomorrowland.

The Celestia Stage is sponsored by KuCoin and it’s beautiful. What can you tell us about it? Did KuCoin help with the design?

The Celestia Stage isn’t just sponsored by KuCoin—it was co-created to bring together technology, culture and community through a shared experience.
This was never intended to be just a branded stage—it was a true creative collaboration between KuCoin and Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland brought its extraordinary creative vision and world-class stage design expertise, while KuCoin worked closely with the team to help shape the story, the experience and the values the stage represents. From the very beginning, our shared ambition was to create something that felt authentic to both brands.
The vibe was unique, as it brought a fun and intimate atmosphere to every DJ set as the Kucoin Guardians engaged with the fans.
Celestia is more than a stage name. It represents curiosity, transformation and the courage to explore what’s next—values that have always been at the heart of both Tomorrowland and KuCoin.
Rather than creating a stage about crypto, we wanted to create a place where people could connect, discover and share unforgettable moments together. That’s what makes this partnership so special. It’s not simply about bringing a brand into Tomorrowland; it’s about co-creating an experience that inspires people and reflects the spirit of both communities.

-Sabina Liu

“This partnership is about shared values, not just sponsorship. Both KuCoin and Tomorrowland believe that the future is built by communities united through curiosity, creativity and shared experiences“, Liu concluded.

Key Activations & On-Site Involvements:

  1. The KuCoin Guardians: Dressed to reflect the spirit of Celestia, interactive “Guardians” roamed the festival grounds, acting as ambient guides to foster curiosity and discovery among attendees.
  2. Next-Gen Festival Payments: The partnership incorporates crypto payment, including tests with the limited-edition KuCard—allowing attendees to pay for food, drinks, and merch effortlessly.
  3. Official App Livestreams: For fans unable to make the trip to Boom, Belgium, KuCoin streamed official Tomorrowland sets directly inside the KuCoin App, bridging the gap between global crypto users and live festival energy.

While we were at it, we fired two more questions at her:

KuCoin is also the livestream presenter. Can you tell us what goes into that?

One of the most exciting things about Tomorrowland is that not everyone can be there in person. By presenting the official livestream on the KuCoin App in certain regions, the team is helping bring that experience to millions of people around the world. It’s another way of making Tomorrowland more accessible and more inclusive. Whether someone is standing in front of the stage in Belgium or watching from another continent, they can still feel part of the same cross-border community. That reflects something we care deeply about at KuCoin—using technology to connect people, not just digitally, but emotionally.

Will we see KuCoin at Tomorrowland beyond Belgium?

KuCoin is also a partner of Tomorrowland Winter and Tomorrowland’s exclusive crypto exchange and crypto payments partner. That gives us the opportunity to explore how digital innovation and payment utility can support the Tomorrowland experience across different settings, both on-site and online.

Over the next few years, we want to build on what we learn from each edition. This could include more immersive brand experiences, deeper community engagement, expanded digital access and new ways for payments and digital assets to become a natural part of the festival journey.

But we want to take that journey step by step. The priority today is Tomorrowland Belgium—delivering a strong experience here, listening to the community and building the partnership on a solid foundation. This is a multi-year collaboration, so we are thinking long term. Rather than repeating the same activation each year, our ambition is to evolve alongside Tomorrowland and continue creating experiences that feel relevant, useful and memorable for its global community.

KuCoin and Tomorrowland are entering a multi-year partnership. Can you tell us what that will look like over the next few years?

This is only the beginning. Over the coming years, we’ll continue exploring new ways to bring together technology, culture and community. That means creating more immersive experiences, expanding digital engagement, introducing new community activations and exploring how digital assets can become a natural part of global lifestyle experiences.

Most importantly, we want every year to feel different. Tomorrowland is constantly evolving, and we want our partnership to evolve alongside it. Our ambition isn’t simply to return each year. It’s to keep creating experiences that people remember long after the festival ends.
