Built around the repeated line “where do we go when the lights go out,” the track opens directly with its infectious chorus. Then dropping into fast-paced drums, heavy synth work, and thunderous drops designed for late-night warehouse floors and peak-time festival moments.
Speaking about the track, Summit shared:

Alongside the release, Summit also revealed an ambitious rollout plan via social media. Referencing his background before music, he wrote:
The statement hints at a steady stream of new material leading up to his next full-length project later this year, building momentum beyond a single standalone release.
‘LIGHTS GO OUT’ follows a year of artistic expansion for Summit. This includes emotionally driven tracks like ‘Crystallized’ featuring Inéz, his long-awaited remix of Britney Spears’ ‘I Wanna Go,’ and standout releases such as his remix of ‘Silence’ by Delerium and Sarah McLachlan, as well as ‘Focus’ featuring CLOVES.
