After venue setbacks with S20 New York 2.0, Pulse Events is now proud to unveil Great Heat, a reimagined summer celebration born from unity between organizers, artists, and fans alike.
Originally slated as the return of S2O New York 2.0, this year’s edition will now move from its initial water-themed concept to a brand new cultural experience inspired by the Great Heat (大暑 – Dàshǔ)—the 12th solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar, marking the most intense and radiant days of summer.

The event will still take place July 25–26, with the same stellar artist lineup, now moving to the Great Hall at Avant Gardner—offering a more intimate, but just as electrifying, experience. From Major Lazer and Dillon Francis to Slander, Malaa, and more, fans can bank on two nights of world-class performances, immersive stage production, and powerful community vibes. The accompanying Kings Hall stage will also feature an array of upcoming and in-demand local talent, further highlighting Pulse Events’ willingness to immerse themselves with local community and support upcoming artistry.
“This isn’t a cancellation—it’s a collaboration. When faced with challenges, we chose unity over retreat. Great Heat is our way of honoring this powerful moment in the summer, and continuing our mission to spotlight Asian cultural traditions in a modern, global context.”
-Pulse Events CEO Luffy Huang
Fans who already purchased tickets for S2O NYC 2.0 will have their passes honored for the new venue and concept. Expect more announcements soon about updated activations and enhanced production details that will elevate the experience even further. Those who prefer to request a full refund should contact dice.fm/refund by 12PM ET on Friday, July 18.
Through this transformation, Pulse Events invites fans not only to dance and celebrate but to be part of a shared moment—one born from adversity, and blazing forward with purpose.
