Audien is leaning further into house music. The GRAMMY-nominated producer has teamed up with rising New York artist Luke Alexander for ‘7 Miles High,’ out now via Enhanced Music. The track finds Audien pushing into a more house-driven lane than the progressive sound he’s built his name on, pairing a driving groove with a commanding vocal performance.

‘7 Miles High’ blends both producers’ strengths — Audien’s melodic instincts against Alexander’s grittier electronic edge. The result is a high-energy, dance floor-ready record built around a rolling house bassline and a vocal hook that carries the track’s momentum from start to finish. It marks a notable shift for Audien, who’s spent much of his career associated with the progressive house revival he helped spark.

Alexander, for his part, has quietly built a career of his own. Born and raised in New York, and the son of a well-known hip-hop producer in the city, he’s developed a sound that mixes anthemic songwriting with the rougher edge of mid-2000s American electronic music. His tracks have found homes on labels like Spinnin’ Records, Revealed Records, Loudkult, Mixmash and Oneseven, picking up support from Tiësto, Zedd, Diplo, Bingo Players, Laidback Luke and Loud Luxury along the way. He also keeps a heavy touring schedule, playing more than 100 shows a year at venues including Marquee New York, LIV Miami, DAER South Florida and Brooklyn Mirage, plus international dates across Spain, Italy, Ireland and the Netherlands.

“I’ve always loved house music, and ‘7 Miles High’ gave me a chance to tap into that side of my sound in a way that feels really natural,” Audien said. “Luke and I wanted to make something with a lot of energy that was built for the dance floor. I’m always looking for ways to evolve without losing what makes my music feel like me, and this record feels like a really exciting step in that direction.“

The single keeps up a busy stretch for Audien, following July’s ‘High Hopes’ with Shaun Farrugia and ‘Sacrifice’ with Sam Harper. Taken together, the run reflects what Audien calls “Emotional Euphoric Music” — a broader approach pairing emotionally driven songwriting with uplifting production, while giving him room to wander outside the traditional progressive house lane he’s known for.

That evolution has carried over to his live shows too. After stops at Sphere Las Vegas, EDC Mexico, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Lost In Dreams Festival, Audien brought his Progressive House Never Died (PHND) movement to New York City this summer for a three-show run packed into less than 30 hours — a sunset rooftop set at Azure at Arlo Williamsburg, a flagship PHND mini-festival at The Rooftop at Pier 17 alongside Mike Williams and Justin Mylo, and an official afterparty at Mission Nightclub.

Launched by Audien in 2022, PHND has grown from a progressive house rallying cry into a touring brand with sold-out shows at Brooklyn Mirage, The Torch at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Hollywood Palladium, Echostage and New City Gas. The next stop lands in San Francisco, with a PHND event at The Midway set for October 9. Audien is also set to launch an Audien x Playboy capsule collection on October 6, rounding out a packed run heading into the fourth quarter.
