Carlita is following up her debut album with something bigger. One year after the release of Carlita, the producer and DJ has announced her sophomore record Telepathy, arriving November 6 via Ninja Tune. The announcement comes paired with a new single, ‘One More Dance,’ featuring vocalist Stevie Appleton.
Telepathy marks a shift in scale for Carlita, pushing her melodic, club-rooted production further into pop songwriting territory. The record leans into live instrumentation and brings in a substantial list of collaborators, signaling an artist looking to broaden her sound beyond the dance floor without abandoning it entirely.
The tracklist includes features from SOFI TUKKER, Justine Skye, Malive, Paige Cavell and Cleo Simone, among others. The album’s visual identity was shaped by creative director Pedro Damasceno and photographer Rafael Pavarotti, whose recent portfolio includes Charli XCX, Madonna, Tyla and Addison Rae — a pairing that underscores how much of Carlita’s identity now sits at the intersection of music and fashion. She’s already built relationships with YSL Beauty, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and FENDI, and has appeared in Vogue Italia, GQ Italia and L’Officiel.
The timing lines up with a genuine surge in Carlita’s numbers. Her collaboration with SOFI TUKKER, ‘Manhattan,’ helped push her Spotify monthly listeners up by nearly a million, landing at 2.2 million, while her catalog has now crossed 137 million lifetime streams. ‘Manhattan’ also became her first record to land on BBC Radio 1’s B List, following a Hottest Record placement for ‘Patchwork’ featuring Paige Cavell.
