Elements 2026 started off with Mother Nature working her magic. Massive spells of clouds and rain greeted Northeast’s best dance festival on Days 0 and 1. But that didn’t stop the vibes of a crowd used to the “Elements” coming out in full force in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Elements has quickly become my home festival and one I go to every year. Every year, I wonder how the team can possibly improve upon what they have already built, and every year they seem to find another way to make the experience feel bigger without losing what makes Elements so special.
Returning to Long Pond, Pennsylvania from August 7-9, Elements once again transformed the area surrounding Pocono Raceway into a completely different world. The festival combines a massive electronic music lineup with camping, art, wellness, and one of the strongest festival communities you will find anywhere.
And while the lineup alone is enough to get anyone excited, Elements continues to prove that it is everything happening between the sets that makes this festival so unique.
The Festival Grounds
Tucked away in the Pennsylvania forest next to Pocono Raceway, Elements has one of the most unique festival environments in the Northeast. The raceway itself provides an enormous footprint, while the surrounding woods give the festival a completely different personality from what you would expect from a traditional festival venue.
After spending the weekend walking around the grounds, one thing continued to stand out: Elements never feels like you are simply walking from one stage to another. There is always something happening.
The forest is filled with art, installations, hidden areas, performers, and little discoveries that reward you for wandering around without a plan. During the day, it is an escape from the intensity of the stages. At night, the entire area transforms as the lights come on and the forest takes on a life of its own.
The camping experience is another huge part of Elements. The Vibe Villages continue to separate the festival from your typical camping festival, giving groups the opportunity to create their own little communities.
The festival also continued to expand practical improvements around the grounds, including additional water stations, bathrooms, shaded areas, and places to relax. Elements has done a great job recognizing that people need somewhere to recharge between sets, rather than forcing everyone to choose between dancing and resting.
And of course, you cannot talk about the Elements grounds without talking about the afters. Elements has built a reputation for some of the best late-night festival experiences in the country. The combination of Vibe Villages, sound camps, art cars, and community-driven programming means the music does not simply stop when the official festival schedule ends. It goes till the sun rises.
The Stages and Artists
The four main stages at Elements – Fire, Earth, Water, and Air – once again provided four completely different experiences. Representing the 4 elements of life, they each provide a unique sound.
The Fire Stage remains the centerpiece of the festival. For 2026, it received a major redesign, giving the main stage an entirely new identity while maintaining the larger-than-life production Elements is known for.
With artists like GRiZ, Excision, Charlotte de Witte, Ganja White Night, Louis The Child, Boys Noize, Matroda, Crankdat, and many more, Elements managed to cover an absurd amount of electronic music throughout the weekend. House, techno, bass, drum & bass, melodic music, and everything in between had a home somewhere on the grounds. That diversity is one of Elements’ biggest strengths.
The Earth Stage was one of the biggest attractions of the festival, while 2026 brought a new visual identity to the stage. The massive deer centerpiece became one of the most talked-about pieces of stage design throughout the weekend, with projections and lighting bringing the structure to life after dark. I was thoroughly impressed with this upgrade, and it was a beauty at night. The biggest names here were Above & Beyond, Chris Lake, CloZee, Subtronics, Of The Trees, Porter Robinson, and LSDream.
Then there is the Water Stage, which continues to provide one of the most intimate experiences on the festival grounds. Its aquatic-inspired design makes it feel completely different from the larger stages, and the programming gives it a personality of its own. The giant octopus comes to life at night with more lasers than your eyes (and its) can handle. The biggest standouts: Big Gigantic, SVDDEN DEATH, Ray Volpe, Hedex, HOL!, Sippy, and Sub Focus.
But I still have a soft spot for the Air Stage. Hidden away in the woods, Air feels like the stage that best represents what Elements is all about. Surrounded by trees, platforms, hammocks, and art, it is incredibly easy to lose track of time there. You can dance, sit down, hang with friends, or stumble into a set from an artist you have never heard before. There is no better way to end the night than with lasers shooting through the trees. Walker & Royce impressively closed the festival, and life does not get much better.
The festival does not force you to chase headliners all weekend. Some of the best moments can happen when you completely abandon your schedule.
Final Thoughts
Every year, Elements gets bigger. The stages get bigger. The lineup gets bigger. The production gets bigger. But somehow, the festival still feels personal.
Elements has grown into one of the premier dance music festivals on the East Coast, and 2026 once again proved why. It is a festival where you can see some of the biggest artists in electronic music while also discovering an underground artist in the woods, spending hours at your campsite with new friends, wandering through art installations at 2 AM, or watching the sun come up after a night that you never wanted to end.
While Elements may not officially hold the title of the best dance festival in the Northeast, I think it is becoming increasingly difficult to argue against it.
And what most importantly keeps me coming back, the people. Till next year, Elements. Thanks for another special weekend.
Elements has a loyalty sale up right now! The festival’s 2027 dates are August 6-8, 2027.
