Steve Aoki brought Dim Mak’s 30th anniversary celebration to Tomorrowland this past weekend, marking the fifth time the label has hosted its own dedicated stage at the Belgian festival. The takeover is the latest stop in a yearlong run of events celebrating three decades of Aoki’s label, and the lineup reflected just how far Dim Mak’s reach extends across electronic music’s generations.

The standout moment of the weekend came when Aoki brought out Dutch techno producer Reinier Zonneveld for a surprise back-to-back set. The pair used the platform to debut their new collaboration, ‘On My Own,’ a melodic techno cut featuring vocals from Darla Jade. The track leans into Aoki’s knack for crossover appeal while giving Zonneveld’s underground techno sensibility room to breathe, landing somewhere between festival main stage and after-hours warehouse. ‘On My Own’ is set for release this Friday, July 24.

“It was incredible to celebrate 30 years of Dim Mak on one of the biggest stages in the world,” Aoki said. “I’ve been performing at Tomorrowland for 15 years, and it’s become such an important part of both my story and Dim Mak’s. Every year the crowd embraces what we’re building, so we wanted to make this anniversary celebration truly special. Having Reinier join me to premiere our new collaboration made the moment even more unforgettable.“

Zonneveld echoed that sentiment, calling the pairing a natural fit. “Super excited and happy to bring this surprising collaboration to the table,” he said. “Steve and I have a really good click in the studio, and we’ve recorded some really cool underground tracks together.“

A Stage Built on Three Decades of Dim Mak

Beyond the Aoki and Zonneveld b2b, the Dim Mak stage at Tomorrowland featured sets from Bassjackers, Chocolate Puma, D’Angello & Francis, DVBBS, Ian Asher, Kaaze, Laidback Luke, Lucas & Steve, Marnik, and Quintino. It’s a lineup that doubles as a snapshot of Dim Mak’s history, pulling from artists who’ve released on the label across different eras and sounds, from electro house to big room to techno.

Founded by Aoki in 1996, Dim Mak has built its reputation as an independent label willing to take chances on unproven sounds and artists. Over the years it’s given early support to acts like Bloc Party, The Chainsmokers, The Bloody Beetroots, Deorro, Zedd, and Diplo before they became festival mainstays. That DIY approach has kept the label relevant through multiple shifts in dance music’s dominant sound, and the Tomorrowland stage takeover is as much a victory lap as it is a statement that Dim Mak isn’t slowing down.

The Tomorrowland set is just one piece of the broader Dim Mak 30 celebration, which continues throughout 2026 with pop-up events and the ongoing Dim Mak 30 Tour. Aoki has more tour dates lined up for the fall, including stops in San Francisco and Minneapolis, plus a newly announced headline show at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City on October 24.
