The German melodic techno maestro, Chris Avantgarde, has finally unveiled his debut album, Hyperreal, via his record label (by the same name). The producer launched the label last year, at the same time, he also announced his album.
Hyperreal provides a glimpse at the musical mastery of Chris Avantgarde
Hyperreal features eighteen tracks that clearly showcase Chris Avantgarde’s creative vision. This album combines cinematic sound design, industrial energy, and effective club energy. With careful attention to detail, Avantgarde raises the quality of club-focused electronic music by focusing on texture, atmosphere, and dynamic contrast.
The album starts with ‘Origin,’ which comfortably invites listeners into an immersive experience. As Hyperreal progresses, it expands through unexpected twists. Tracks like ‘Belter’ and ‘Jester’ bring bursts of energy, while ‘Where Do You Go’ and ‘Elysium’ create moments of tension and release that enhance the record’s emotional depth. In the center, ‘Desolate Lands,’ featuring Adam Beyer, stands out as one of the album’s most impressive moments, blending their styles into a commanding yet controlled track. By the end, with ‘All Is Good’ and ‘Like I Do,’ the album unfolds as a carefully organized journey, constantly evolving while maintaining a strong creative identity.
The album perfectly represents the producer’s vision of grand future for electronic music
More than just a debut album, Hyperreal reflects Chris Avantgarde’s vision for electronic music’s future. Drawing from years of experience in music composition, production, and on the dancefloor, this project showcases a level of craftsmanship often seen in film scoring, where each sound choice adds to the overall experience. This approach also applies to Hyperreal as a label, creating a space for music that values artistic ambition and technical skill. As an artist and curator, Chris offers a body of work that shows how club music and deep composition can enhance each other.
