As the heatwave across Europe continues to take its toll, Luminosity Beach Festival has announced that it will postpone the start time. With a code red heat warning issued by the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI), Luminosity, in partnership with the local government, announced that they will delay the start time of the iconic trance festival until 18:00. This will avoid the hottest times of the day for the safety of staff, artists and attendees.

Due to the event permit, the festival would have to end at 23:00. They will be reorganising the schedule, as line-up changes will be announced soon. The long-running trance event held annually at Bernie’s Beach Club in Zandvoort, Netherlands, is a 4-day festival considered one of the premier trance events of the festival season.

With the recent cancellation of Defqon.1 due to the extreme heat, Luminosity is the latest festival in the Netherlands to take action. When a code red warning is issued, authorities urge caution, as it puts pressure on emergency services and poses health risks. Stay tuned for further announcements from Luminosity over the weekend.
