Just when you thought FISHER couldn’t get any more chaotic, the Australian house music superstar has officially added Pixar voice actor to the list of accolades.
Disney and Pixar announced that FISHER will join the Australian and New Zealand voice cast of Toy Story 5, where he’ll lend his unmistakable energy to a new character named Garden Gnome. The role marks the Grammy-nominated producer’s first major venture into film voice acting and places him alongside a stacked cast that includes Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Greta Lee, Conan O’Brien, Keanu Reeves, and Bad Bunny.
According to Disney, Garden Gnome is part of a community of forgotten toys living in an abandoned backyard shed. While the character may be a long way from the decks of Ibiza or the main stage at Coachella, FISHER seems more than ready for the challenge.
“This is a franchise that my family and I have loved for years,” he said in a statement, adding that he can’t wait to watch the film with his kids.
The upcoming installment sees Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the gang facing a very modern problem: technology. The story reportedly revolves around Bonnie’s new smart device, Lilypad, and the growing battle between traditional toys and digital entertainment.
For FISHER, the casting is another unexpected chapter in a career that has already taken him from Gold Coast tradie to one of dance music’s biggest global exports. Whether he’s selling out arenas, throwing beachside parties, or now stepping into the Pixar universe, the house heavyweight continues to prove there’s no lane he can’t swerve into.
FISHER has upcoming shows at Beyond Wonderland, Veld Music Festival, Escapade Music Festival, Breakaway, and more this Summer.
