In a landmark event for both electronic music and Dutch heritage, Audio Obscura is set to host the world premiere of PRAISE – Honey Dijon x ZO! Gospel Choir at the historic De Nieuwe Kerk on Friday, October 24th, during Amsterdam Dance Event 2025. Following legendary events like the Highway Rave and a party in the bicycle tunnel under the Rijksmuseum, the choice of De Nieuwe Kerk—known as the site of royal inaugurations and national ceremonies—fits perfectly into this groundbreaking legacy.
The Collaboration: A Fusion of House and Gospel
The event will showcase a one-of-a-kind performance by Honey Dijon, one of the most influential figures in house music, and the celebrated ZO! Gospel Choir, one of the Netherlands’ leading vocal ensembles. The choir, known for its energetic soul, R&B, and gospel renditions, has previously collaborated with music legends like Diana Ross.
Honey Dijon, an icon from the birthplace of house music, will bring her inimitable blend of house, techno, and disco to the sacred space. Known for her advocacy for diversity and inclusivity, her performance is expected to be a powerful, captivating journey.
The evening will begin with a set from Rotterdam-based DJ Juliana X, who will warm up the crowd with her energetic mix of Chicago house, Detroit techno, and other global influences.
