Brooklyn’s Great Hall at Avant Gardner was electric this past Sunday as Gryffin brought his Pulse Live: The Finale tour through New York. With the show originally slated for Brooklyn Mirage earlier this Summer being rescheduled and moved to The Great Hall, expectations were high — and Gryffin didn’t disappoint.
From the opening moments, the crowd’s energy was palpable. Fans were visibly thrilled, many singing every lyric, some shutting their eyes and moving solely by rhythm. The sound system delivered crisp highs, deep bass, and kept vocal clarity even during the most layered moments. Lighting design and visuals paired beautifully with the musical shifts — the transitions between euphoric drops, melodic breakdowns, and piano-led intros were both smooth and dramatic. In typical Gryffin fashion, the performance was more than just a DJ set but there were also inclusions of live instruments as he took the stage with his guitar. “Pulse Live: The Finale” was a reminder of what makes him one of the more emotionally resonant producers in EDM right now. He struck a strong balance between drop moments and melodic vulnerability, between audience demands and artistic exploration.
Selling out a venue as grand and as big as the Great Hall is not an easy task but even more difficult on a Sunday night. However, this was no challenge for Gryffin as his fans rallied and have been anticipating this show since the Mirage announcement. For those still considering, Gryffin remains an artist worth seeing live — if you want dance-floor catharsis, sing-along hooks, and moments that go beyond just lights and bass, click here to view his upcoming show dates.
