Multiplatinum-selling Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix has dropped his new single, ‘Voodoo’, teaming up with R3HAB and Skytech through STMPD RCRDS, the artist’s much-acclaimed record label. Even before the track had its official release, ‘Voodoo’ already had great praises within EDM festival surroundings. Martin Garrix gave the track its debut at Ultra last year, and the track has superstar names like Armin van Buuren and TiĂ«sto picking it up. He featured it in his summer sets, including his closing performance at Tomorrowland, his shows in Los Angeles with 60,000 fans, and every week during his UshuaĂŻa residency in Ibiza.
Martin Garrix shared exuberant excitement about the release of ‘Voodoo’
“It took us a year to get together in the same room and finish the track but I’m so excited about this club release.. like R3HAB described it has this haunting feel type of vocal, the track is super energetic and Skytech brought all the power. I’ve been playing it for some time now and it’s really one of the key moments of my set.”
The release of track comes after recent memorable performances and will be a part of his upcoming EP
‘Voodoo’ is part of his upcoming EP, ORIGO, which is on the way from STMPD RCRDS. The EP will also include tracks like ‘Set Me Free’ with Arcando, ‘Sleepless Nights’ with Armin Van Buuren, and ‘Inside Our Hearts’ with Alesso. Recently, Martin Garrix rocked the stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago and performed at L.A. State Historic Park, making his first appearance in Los Angeles since 2016. He was the first artist to play three nights there, selling out 60,000 tickets for two shows and adding a third night because of the demand.
Earlier in June, he had a four-night stint in Las Vegas, hitting up OMNIA, TAO Beach Club, and EDC. Plus, he recently sold out two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO, for October. Earlier this year, he teamed up with Lauv for the track ‘MAD’. He also released two songs with Arijit Singh: ‘Angels for Each Other’ and ‘Weightless’. ‘Angels for Each Other’ was a big deal because it was the first time Martin Garrix got to sing on one of his own tracks.
