GORDO and Drake spent nearly three hours on the Berghain dancefloor, blending into the crowd and soaking up Berlin’s iconic techno scene. At one point, Drake turned to GORDO and said, “Wow, everyone is so nice here, the dance community is so positive,” capturing the spirit of the night

Over the weekend, GORDO took international superstar Drake to one of the world’s most iconic nightclubs, Berghain. They were in for a night deep in Berlin’s underground techno scene. Berghain is known worldwide for its strict no-photo policy and reputation as a temple of electronic music. On this night, there were no VIP areas, security or entourages. It was just two friends on the dancefloor, completely locked into the music.

GORDO, who produced Drake’s track ‘Sideways,’ ‘Healing’ and more, shared the moment on Instagram. He called it “By far one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen…Drake in the crowd listening to techno without security.”

The two spent nearly three hours on the dancefloor, with Drake fully embracing the energy of the club. At one point, Drake turned to GORDO and shared “Wow, everyone is so nice here, the dance community is so positive.”

Drake is currently touring Germany. During his time in Berlin, he took the chance to dive into the city’s culture. And for any visitor, Berghain is at the top of the list. For GORDO, it was a proud moment to share such a raw and authentic side of dance music with a close collaborator and friend. Check out his official post here.

This night highlights what GORDO has been building throughout his career. Bridging worlds between hip-hop and techno, and showing how music can connect people from completely different backgrounds on one dancefloor.
