We almost came very close to a Hardwell and Avicii collaboration. In a live interview with Tomorrowland’s Adam K on One World Radio, Hardwell dropped a surprise revelation: he and Avicii once discussed collaborating on the iconic track ‘Seek Bromance’.
Just hours before delivering his powerful closing set on the Tomorrowland mainstage, Hardwell stopped by the One World Radio studio — a tradition in recent years — for a chat with Adam K. During the interview, he touched on his weekend one performance, hinted at a possible third collaboration with Armin van Buuren, and shared a story that lit up the dance music world.
Adam K asked Hardwell which Avicii track he would remix if given the chance. Rather than the expected ‘Levels’, Hardwell chose ‘Seek Bromance’ — the 2010 breakout hit released under Avicii’s real name, Tim Berg. He then revealed that the track was originally intended as a collaboration between the two.
Hardwell explained he never turned down the offer; he was simply swamped with finishing Smoke/Voyage, an EP released on Toolroom in mid-2010. The timing just sadly didn’t align.
The anecdote underscores the genuine friendship the two artists shared. From supporting each other’s music to bonding backstage at festivals, Hardwell and Avicii had a strong connection. Now, fans are left to imagine what magic might have come from a true Avicii-Hardwell collab. Regardless, ‘Seek Bromance’ is a timeless track. Maybe Hardwell will just have to remix it?
