Cheat Codes are back in business with a highly anticipated album announcement and a brand-new single. The trio’s forthcoming album, Future Renaissance, will celebrate a decade of Cheat Codes and is slated to arrive July 25th. Its newest single ‘Human’ is a cathartic dance-pop explosion featuring silky smooth vocals from acclaimed singer-songwriter LP. ‘Human’ and its accompanying album reveal come on the heels of Cheat Codes’ summer smash ‘More Than Anybody’ with Izzy Bizu and Kenny G, a sensational single that finds the producers at the top of their game.
With its celebratory spirit, ‘Human’ is the perfect Pride Month anthem and an equally meaningful moment for Cheat Codes member Trevor Dahl, as his brother Johnathan Dahl is an activist and member of The Gay Beards. The trio is dedicated to lifting up the LGBTQ+ community through their music, so it’s only fitting that the single arrives the day before their headline performance at the Brooklyn Mirage for the country’s largest pride festival. Their masterful dance-pop sound has truly never been more electric and uplifting as non-binary icon LP declares, “We’ll be dancing till the hurting’s done/We’re only human.”
Future Renaissance is a 14-track album with a plethora of exciting collaborators as fans have come to expect, with LP, Izzy Bizu, CeeLo Green, and Kenny G leading the way. With the new project, Cheat Codes returns to their explosive dance-pop roots after exploring country on their last album, which featured a collaboration with Dolly Parton, marking a powerful way to celebrate a decade of making music. Led by ‘More Than Anybody’ and ‘Human’ – and complemented by brilliant songs throughout its expansive tracklist – Cheat Codes’ 10th Anniversary album is shaping up to be a can’t-miss project for summer 2025.
