We Are FSTVL Cancelled Amid Heavy Rainfall In London

It’s unfortunate to see another major festival, We Are FSTVL 2024, canceled due to heavy rainfall. Council leaders in London have cited “safety concerns” as the reason behind the cancellation as “record levels of rainfall” posed a risk to the attendees. This has left many fans disappointed once again. The festival was scheduled to take place on May 25-26 this year. But We Are FSTVL confirmed earlier this week via Instagram that it will not be going ahead.

We Are FSTVL 2024 was welcoming Eric Prydz and Chase & Status to headline. Joining them were Eats Everything, Gorgon City, Groove Armada, Hybrid Minds, Patrick Topping, Sonny Fodera, and more. However, just days before the team was supposed to start the build, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham realized that they would not be able to provide a safe event space. One that met the requirements of the organizers. The News in London reported the heaviest period of rainfall in their history of 1,695.9mm of rain from October 2022 to March 2024. As a result, the festival was unable to return to its original location at Dagenham’s Central Park. Where it held its first edition in 2013.

Last year they shared the timing and location change for the 2024 edition. The previous few editions of We Are FSTVL took place in Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster at the end of August. The team is now focusing on preparing for next year’s festival. They have expressed their excitement to bring new experiences to the event in 2025.
