[Review] Subtronics Turns Barclays Center into Cyclops Center in Return to New York City

Subtronics has been rapidly ascending in the world of dance music with his heavy hitting bass tracks. Since the release of his newest album ‘TESSERACT‘, he has been on his album tour making stops across North America and this past weekend, he arrived in New York City for a show at the iconic Barclays Center in Brooklyn. This show marks as a major milestone in his career with it being his biggest headlining show to date in New York.

Fans piled in early to catch supporting acts including Wooli and Hedex. From the floor to all the way around the seats, the venue was filled headbanging bass fans dressed in various merch by their favorite performing artists. Wooli played all of his crowd favorite tracks from bass induced tracks to some of his more emotional songs such as his collaboration with Seven Lions called ‘Another Me’. The crowd would erupt in a loud roar of appreciation once the lights dimmed for Subtronics’ headlining set. To coincide with the TESSERACT tour, the stage was designed in a lit up cube shape surrounding the DJ booth. Subtronics would play out most of the songs from his album and also some of his more iconic tracks such as ‘Puzzle Box’. Barclays Center is a venue that does not see too many bass music shows but for Subtronics to turn it into the Cyclops center for the night, bass fans in attendance got to participate in an unforgettable experience.

Subtronics is currently on his ‘TESSERACT’ Tour and will be making his final stops in Nashville, Atlanta and Greensboro this weekend.
