EDMTunes New Music Friday – Week 9

Listen to the most flavour-packed tracks we discovered this week.

Music makes the world go round. And in that regard, we’re constantly on the lookout for new, exciting tunes to share with our audience. We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.

Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.

Ciaran McAuley pres. Elï – Love Loud

Genre: Trance / Progressive

We’re delighted to have this man with us on this week’s compilation. Ciaran McAuley, one that would be called the “next hero in Trance” when he started making waves years ago as a solo name. Over the years he’s managed to become one of the leading acts in the genre, having released tracks like ‘Our Last Train Together’ on FSOE and ‘Savasana’ on A State Of Trance. The melodic content of his pieces is stunning. It can very well get you hanging on the edge of tears.

Out today is one of his most daring ventures towards slower beats, replacing the powerful Uplifting Trance kicks with more Progressive-oriented ones, yet leaving the heartwarming content untouched. Meet Ciaran McAuley pres. Elï, his side project. ‘Love Loud‘ is a track so touching, we suggest you not only close your eyes to listen, but also have tissues at armsreach.

Maddo – Bad Habit

Genre: Happy Hardcore, Hardstyle

This one is bound to make you dance around and try to get the bootleg pyro you have laying around your house working again. Maddo brings the heat to the table, having had over 250 thousand plays on Spotify alone last year. It’s undoubted that he and his music appeal to a broad audience. May you be part of the club too.

Bad Habit‘ is a powerful, banging Hardstyle / Happy Hardcore single, which hooks you with a catchy vocal, fast-paced breaks, and drops powerful enough to provide energy to a whole city. Listen below and be the judge.

AFROJACK, Timmy Trumpet & Lil Jon – We Can’t Stop

Genre: Mainstage Electro, Psytrance

It wouldn’t be a proper Friday without the release of any track created by scene trailblazers. And so, lo and behold, AFROJACK, Timmy Trumpet, and someone who’s been around for decades: Lil Jon. Together they’ve created a mainstage blower: ‘We Can’t Stop‘.

Pairing Timmy’s core sounds such as the trumpets themselves and rolling basslines with hype vocals from the iconic voice from ‘Get Low’, plus AFROJACK’s jumpy leads, we’ve got a proper anthem here for all to listen.

Gabry Ponte & DAMANTE – Turn Me On

Genre: Tech House

DAMANTE is announcing a great new chapter in his career this year. Alongisde having booked a proper residency at Zouk in Las Vegas, he’s joined forced with Gabry Ponte to release ‘Turn Me On‘ on Cr2 Records. If you’re a fan of entertaining Tech House, this is the perfect song for you to jam to.

The track fuses sultry vocals and Latin-infused melodies with a Tech House bassline for an enticing sonic journey. You can feel the sauce coming in, especially during the drops. If there’s one complaint from us, is that this song should be at least 10 minutes long. It’s good.

James Hurr & DJ Rae – That’s the Kind of Love I’ve Got for You

Genre: House, Deep House

Looking for a beautiful House tune for your weekend? Here it is. Wait, let me reword this. Here it IS! Masterminds James Hurr and DJ Rae teamed up for quite the anthem: ‘That’s the Kind of Love I’ve Got for You‘. Both atop their respective games in the industry, their product is nothing short of mesmerising.

The track makes you happy, honestly. Its pianos all over, and the groovy, jumpy percussion bits so close to the House spirit, plus the strings halfway through… it’s a feeling, it’s a ride. And we’d recommend you ride it too.
