[Event Review] Lunar New Year Spring Festival in NYC Feat. SLANDER, Alan Walker, Trivecta, 4B, and More

This past weekend, Pulse Events celebrated Lunar New Year at Avant Gardner in Brooklyn, New York. Spring Festival: Lunar New Year Celebration featured headlining performances from SLANDER and Alan Walker for its second edition which took place February 18-19. Being that this is the year of the dragon, all of the festivities were in full swing.

Avant Gardner was turned into a lively night market to cheer everyone into the festive mood. With the rooms decked out in red lanterns and other lunar new year colorways, it added into the festival ambiance. Attendees were able to indulge in a feast for the senses with an array of delicious Lunar New Year treats and snacks. To commemorate the weekend, they were also able to strike a pose and create lasting memories in a photo booth designed to spark joy and laughter. A kandi bracelet station was available to get crafty and express creativity by making bracelets to wear or trade with friends in attendance. Those wanting to test their fortune could try their luck by playing spin the wheel to win some neat prizes.

DJ Performances

Pulse Event’s Spring Festival transformed the venue into a musical haven for dance music lovers with headliners SLANDER leaving a lasting impact. Their Grammy-nominated blend of melodic dubstep and heavy bass drops ignited the dance floor, sending shivers down spines with epic anthems like ‘Love is Gone’, ‘Back To U’, and ‘All You Need To Know’. Their electrifying performance had no shortage of flamethrowers and lasers, propelling the visual experience to peak heights for attendees. Joining them was the platinum-selling Alan Walker, whose mesmerizing set soared through genre-bending production and captivating vocals. Hits like ‘Faded’, ‘Alone’, and ‘Better Off’ echoed through the venue, leaving audiences spellbound. For those wanting a more melodic and calming experience, Trivecta took the night on an euphoric journey, transporting listeners with intricate soundscapes and emotional depth. Mind-bending basslines and ethereal melodies lingered long after his set was over. He also belted out rifting guitar solos throughout his performance. 4B got the crowds jumping with his infectious blend of house, funk, and future bass. His high-energy sets had everyone moving, while Henry Fong’s expertly crafted blend of trap, bass, and dubstep kept the energy levels soaring.
