The talented Swiss duo Adriatique and the innovative Italian techno artist Undercatt have teamed up to released this vibrant EP, Horizon, via X Recordings. Adriatique introduced their label X Recordings near the end of 2023 when the duo dropped ‘The Future Is Unknown’, their first track on the label. For the two-track Horizon EP, it contains the title track itself and an equally-captivating supporting track, ‘Vera’. The EP’s title track is six minutes long but it provides the melodic rhythms that complement mysterious yet groovy beat patterns. The track then built up to a magnetic and energetic tempo that sets the tone for the remainder of it. Afterwards, ‘Vera’ is a fantastic combination of deep house and melodic techno that brings the listeners to have emotions of enlightenment when they are listening to it. The release of Horizon is Adriatique’s first release of 2024 and it comes off of a successful 2023 for the duo.
Adriatique’s notable achievements of 2023 include teaming up with GORDO in producing ‘With You’, releasing ‘Miracle’ with WhoMadeWho, and having RÜFÜS DU SOL producing a remix of ‘Miracle’. One of their top events that they headlined was when they amplified the Brooklyn Mirage in New York City on their ‘X Tour’. The duo plans to go on tour once more, with Ultra and Coachella being amongst their top stops.
